Just got a YMCA membership. I logged 3 miles in the books today. Enjoyed running in the shade and not the burning hot sun. Only 6 miles to go to be ready for the 15k I’m running in the spring.

Ran my first 5k today! What an amazing experience! The 82 days of training was worth it! I’m already looking for my next race! :)

Ran my first 5k today! What an amazing experience! The 82 days of training was worth it! I’m already looking for my next race! :)


Last training day before the race. I’m putting another 3 miles in the books. I can’t believe the race is only 2 days away! I’m getting excited!



In the last 2.5 months of training for the 5k, I have lost 4 pounds and 1 whole pant size. I’ve been eating clean, cut out foods with added sugar, and training 5 to 6 days a week. Working hard and never giving up pays off!


Just put 3 miles in the books for today. That’s my 14th mile this week. Only 7 days left until my first race. I’m ready!
